Description

Buck carried on the story. As the little mouse ran off he had suddenly realised there was no Zlata to be found. He then remembered that she so wanted to get in the little mushroom house for a bit of a nosey. He went to the house & had a look round then he heard a faint tap, tap coming from above his head. He looked up & spied Zlata, she was waving & shouting something, it sounded like "Please find a ladder I carn't get down". He had a quick look round as he remembered speaking to a young boy, before the mouse took his attention & he was sure the boy was carrying a ladder, he looked but he was nowhere to be seen. So he called to Zlata & told her not to worry he would go & & see if he could find someone to help. He was thinking to himself, if Zlata hadn't been so nosey she wouldn't be in this predicament. Anyway it was done now so off he went. It wasn't long before he came across someone, who was attending a little flower patch in front of a lovely house, not unlike the one Zlata was locked in. Just behind him a lovely little kitten caught his eye, she was chasing a butterfly. "Hello there" he said to the young man. "I wonder if you could help me? My name is Mr. Buck & my friend Zlata is locked in the red mushroom house not too far from here." The young man looked up, he had been watching a catapillar that he had just saved from one of the plants he was about to put in the soil. "Zlata, Zlata, errr I am sorry but I don't know of anyone who lives round here with that name." he replied. "I am sorry to say my friend was being rather nosey & climbed into the house to have a look round but when she can to leave the ladder was gone. I am sure she really didn't mean any harm." he said in a very apologetic voice. "Never mind she didn't mean no harm, that is not her house, it belongs to my friend Pippin & she shouldn't have gone inside unless invited." said the young man, rather cross. "I know, Zlata does have a curious mind & there is no way of stopping her once she gets a bee in her bonnet. I apologise for her." he said. "A bee in her bonnet, there are no bees around here to get into her bonnet, they should all be at Honey Bee Farm, over the hill making honey" the young man told Buck. He didn't really think it was worth explaining to him about a bee in your bonnet, so just asked him his name & would he be able to help. "My name is Ben & I think my brother Bill will be able to help, he has a ladder. I will ask him, he is in the house." Buck turned & looked back at the little house & saw a face in the window. Flip he looks a force to be reckoned with he thought but if he can help Zlata!!! Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxxx Flower patch, Bill, Ben - Leilana

Great scene and story, Barbara! Just learned a new expression today: "a bee in your bonnet". In Danish we have: "fluer i hovedet" (flies in the head) meaning flighty thoughts and crazy ideas... Have a nice week end! JohnnyC

And the plot thickens for Zalta. Mr. Buck sure is a good friend and hopefully he will be rewarded in a good way for his troubles. He has been scoulded and teased and now the look of Bill has Mr. Buck really wondering!! Awesome chapter and scenery Barbara. Looking forward to reading additonal chapters.

A very beautiful and colorful render Barbara. Let us hope that Bill and/or Ben can get Zlata out of the red mushroom house before Pippin comes home!
