No one left to pull the strings, the inmates are running the asylum... Looks like the end of 2012 will be an interesting period in our history.
Hopefully, we will survive it...

Really creepy character! I see a positive future. The world does not end in 2012, but the Mayan calendar starts from the beginning. We should all look forward to a bright new era ... Very well done! Great colors!

I love the surreal aspect of this scene. The colors of that explosion are stunning, like wildly colorful photos of galaxies. And the sadness of this character really comes through, like the sad state of affairs in our country right now. The 2012 "ending" may not come with a bang but probably an increase in the insanity of our government. It's a scary thing. I think you've captured perfectly that feeling of loneliness and unreality. Great title for this apocolyptic scene. The puppets cut their strings and revolt. It's begun in the middle east, what will happen in North Korea.? Awesome concept and well done.

About the only thing that will surely happen this year is the changing of the day from the 23rd to the 24th....and of course all the loonies will be out in full force as they were in 2000 when the Y2K was running rampant with nothing more than the same thing of a changing date on the calendar.Though I "DO" like the portrayal that you created here and your analogy of the situation...Only time will tell once again...
