Description

It's been a while since 4th grade science class, but I believe the high layer here is Cirrocumulus and the lower layer are Cumulus clouds. Any atmospheric experts may feel free to chime in on my guess work. The one cloud instantly reminded me of the Horsehead Nebula in Orion. Also liked the fins of Iron Oxide, had never seen such before. Worthy of a zoom! Don't let those freedoms go to ones head this holiday...wishing all a safe weekend! To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2332871.jpg

Zoom is a must, I love the color banding and texture of that rock...absolutely scrumptious! Egad! Did I just call a rock scrumptious? slaps self silly

I wonder how many years 10 feet of sediment here represents?

Beautiful image, and yes, folks please be safe this Holiday weekend. Many loose the little common sense they had and end up dead on our roads.
