Description

Alternate title: "Magritte Meets Mucha". My kudos to René Magritte and Alphonse Mucha (i.e. Alfons Maria Mucha) for inspiration. As you see, I am still playing with twisted Bryce Abstracts, aka "Hubisms". This variant here reminded me of certain paintings from Magritte (left side) facing the ornamental Art Nouveau style of Mucha (right side). Scene hints/details: - Bryce4 scene and render. - Bryce4 Volmat based on two bitmap images (one for the color and one for the pattern/density) -- zoomed in to that highlighted region in the thumbnail. - Hint: Zooming in to such a deep level shows noticeable material/render artefacts (grain and jaggies) due to using *pixel* bitmaps. Larger and more detailed bitmaps didn't fully avoid these artefacts. Smoothing the bitmaps instead made it rather blurry. So I had to find and accept a compromise herein. - PhotoImpact10 used for "thumbnailing". Hint: WOODY images will follow soon again, I didn't discard that poor little guy. I haven't that much time currently for excessive brycing, though enough for an occasional quick&dirty Hubism. ;)

This thing has depth. It's like etched glass over a background. Very appealing! A perfect print poster behind glass.

Beautiful work. The contrast between the two sides is also very nice. My imagination is running wild on this one.

I can almost visualize the apple, but where is the Bowler? ;) I am glad you like Mr. Muchas Art Nouveau as well - fine interpretation of both combined here - just blending perfectly ... BB
