Thankyou Ani, it is very pretty. I really like flowers. Happy to report that though she had a bad day flying yesterday (cancelled flight and ended up getting in about 8 hours later than she was originally scheduled to arrive), Lucinda did make it in safe and sound. We'll probably take it easy today-walk over to the lake that's across the street from my building and take some pictures of the baby swans. Tonight we're going out for Indian for my birthday dinner. Thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts. Though I'm having trouble getting around because of all the fluid retention, I'm in a good mood for my 58th birthday, knowing I'll be spending the day with Lucinda, and my niece, Kate (and, of course, my rock, my Sam, who is here for me everyday). That's the most important thing-being with loved ones.

As Leslie wrote, I had a LONG day at the Atlanta Airport yesterday. But I slept in, and in, and in, so I am now feeling quite rested. I met a woman, who's parents were visiting her from India. The three of them were supposed to be on the same cancelled flight to New York as me. They spent the first day of a long weekend trip to New York that she had planned specially for them, in the Atlanta Airport. They were very nice, though understandably frustrated. I just now woke up, and this is a beautiful sight to greet me and a wonderful way to start Leslie's birthday. I am now going to walk over to her apartment, and at some point, see the baby swans.
