Description

Here in Amargosa, Nevada my dear friend DD and I were traveling down a graveled road during a wind storm. Winds were gusting to over 70 miles per hour coming in from the south. As we got further down the road a wall of sand was blowing across the road. There were no turn arounds and it was unsafe to back up. We had no choice but to go forward. She was driving and I was the passenger. The passenger window was down barely 1/4th of the way but it was stuck and would not go up. Once inside of the wall of sand I could hear it hitting the truck. It sounded a lot like sleet hitting the ground and the wind was howling. Sand began to blow in the window. It got into my mouth, my ear, on my clothes and even inside my blouse. It was zero visibility but we had no choice but to continue forward out of the sand. We made it but then had to turn around and go back through it, determining the road was unsafe to travel. I did manage to snap a picture and wanted to share it with all of you.

Yea, had to replace a wind-shield after getting trapped in a sandstorm many years ago. Hope all works out well for you. Hugs from Dave :^)
