Description
A few days ago this ring was formed around the sun. It's a phenomenon I had not seen often, and I liked to photograph it. Stand using 17 mm and a 0.42x converter to get full.
Several of my students said it was a sign that it predicted the end of the world. I laughed and told them I did not believe in those things, and that I need a worrying signal to believe. I was calm but a few days after the Bayern München lost the Champions Cup Final ......LOL

Indeed this doesn't happen very often, as we have all experienced it and you make it look spectacular, Neto - amazing what kids will believe ;) BB Sorry to hear about the Soccer result, Germany must be crying as well? (my son Jeff follows also the Soccer, but only on TV!)

You have photographed an interesting and unusual phenomenon. Superb shot. Here are also many people who believe that the end of the world comes in December. I do not believe it and a lost game of Bayern München is certainly not a doomsday.

I seen this before and i know up here it is cause by small parts of ice in the clouds. but been as far south as you are i did not know it happens there. I think it may be because of the storm Bud may have help ice form way up in the clouds as ice crystal formations. end of the world? Jesus say he do not know the day or hour he coming just the signs. As in the days of Noah will be the signs.

LOL! So...signs in the heavens are of no consequence, but signs on the football field are earth-shaking! haha I think you might be right. ;) Great shot here. You captured it most excellently!

I have a capture in my gallery.I did not take the time to grab a wide angel lens and shot with a 18-270mm.I was not able to fully capture it like you did.very much an outstanding shot
