I like your selective coloring to show off your niece! A very nice touch.

just gorgeous, your choice of b&w, with the sole red shirt (on your niece) is beautiful, it makes this seem so very intimate and quiet. And your composition---that wonderful blank door towards the left (or screen, or whatever it may be), and the cut of the shadows---is beautiful in its own right, as is the dark 'chamber' feeling of the whole piece. An intimate quiet moment, the kinds of moments that children have all the time (when they're not shouting and jumping and dancing). And beautifully done with your camera and your eye.
