Description
This craftsman style chalet houses the tasting room of a local Applegate Valley winery, the Schmidt Family Vineyards. They also have beautiful gardens, a pond where geese & ducks can usually be found & a bird enclosure. And they are friendly & produce a very limited amount of excellent wine, so a fun way to spend some time if you're ever visiting in this area...

a great deal of leafy & spindly detail in all the leaves & branches in the front of the chalet. This is in beautiful contrast to the simpler almost fairy-tale-like simplicity of the chalet, and its bold reddish-brown stairs. A beautiful piece of contrast. And I agree with Ronnie about the pov, with the path winding its way to the center, taking us through the greenery into the chalet proper. You've emphasized the deep reds of the chalet and made it seem (again) as if it comes straight out of a fairy or folk tale. And the sky is equally enchanted...A beautiful capture of a magical-feeling place, and the rocks and nature get along quite beautifully through your eye...
