simple & beautiful capture of the many morphed hues of a yellow-peach hued poppy. Cropping out the top & bottom of the petals emphasizes the concentration of the hues as well as the linear feel of the flower. (For a flower that isn't often 'linear' in feel!) You captured the wonderful morph of the flower's hues, and the nearly painted-on shadows. Very sensitive, very delicate, and beautiful seeing. Whenever you get to NYCity, I wish you a great time there. It's not the 'old american city' it once was, as Manhattan has become quite built up & gentrified. It's a shame to see the old enclaves of so many nationalities and their gathering places disappear...But for sheer towers and canyons, it's still a massive, intimidating, and wholly stunning place. I haven't been there since the 70s (when I hung out with all kinds of artists & writers and such---it was a wild place back then), but I know many people who've been there since, and I'm sure your camera will be shouting at you all the time. I hope it's a great visit for you. (And, in case you haven't been there before, have some money. NYC isn't known for being easy on one's pocket book!) Have a great trip!
