Description

Ben had asked his brother Bill if he could possibly take his ladder & go with Mr. Buck & help get Zlata out of Pippins mushroom house. Bill had not been very happy that someone called Zlata had broken into, yes broken into his friend Pippin's house Mr. Buck had stood up for Zlata a little & told Bill & Ben that although Zlata was a law unto herself, she really didn't mean any harm at all. They said they would take Mr. Bucks word for it & Bill said he would go with him & see if he could help. They arrived at the house but Zlata was not at the window, Buck hoped that she was ok. Bill got to work & put his ladder up against the mushroom house & climbed up & into the house. Zlata took up the story:- After she saw Mr. Buck wandering off she got very worried but was sure he was off for help. She so wished that she hadn't climbed the ladder & gone into the little house, why did she always get into these scrapes, she wondered. She decided that it would be very rude to look through the house (now she decides) so she found a little chair & sat down to wait. She thought she must have been sitting there for ages when she heard voices outside. She went to the window & saw that a ladder had been put up against the side of the house & this big burley person was nearly upto the top. The door opened & the person announced to Zlata that he was Bill & a puss cat named Mr. Buck had asked him to come & rescue her. Then he really shouted at Zlata & told her in no uncertain terms that she should not be in Pippins hopuse & she was very lucky he hadn't called the police. He went on & on & on. Poor Zlata felt really dejected & just wished the ground would open up & swallow her up. Then Zlata was swept into the air as Bill took hold of her & put her over his arm, went out of the door & climbed down the ladder. Mr. Buck hadn't really been taking too much notice of the rescue as he had been looking to see if he could catch sight of the little mouse that had been playing in the pile of wood. He decided to sit on the pile & wait to see if the mouse came back. The mouse had seen Mr. Buck & no way was he going to play in the wood pile again while a puss cat was sat there. "So" said Zlata "I was then put on the ground & told to go home & never go into anyones house unless invited in!!!! Sensational work on this next chapted in the story Barbara, but scene and story were so well done. Hopefully Zlata will learn her lesson about breaking into places. At least she kept out of trouble by sitting and waiting instead of exploring the house further ;) Thanks most of all for the update on little Buck, and so glad to hear he is healing.
