Description

I'm not really a photographer, however I got this nifty new camera which I am having a blast taking pictures of anything and everything with..LOL I saw these flowers growing in the garden of my children's school courtyard when I brought them to school this morning and thought they were pretty so I took a picture. Thanks for looking!

This is very pretty! It's a lovely photograph. Great light, and a beautiful subject. I snuck a peek at your Poser gallery, and I see you have an excellent eye for composition. Your portraits are often close cropped, and you stage your pieces so the main subject is off to one side or is positioned in such a way as to create energy. If you approach a photograph in the same way, you'll get that same sort of good result. Consider cropping this down a good bit ... two inches off the top, one off the bottom, and three off the right-hand side. The flower will be half the size it is now, but it will be all the best parts, and it will fill the frame without being in the center. I would never have mentioned any of this, because the photograph really is VERY nice, but what I saw in your gallery makes me think you're a woman after my own heart when it comes to closing in on your subject. It's almost impossible to consider all these things when starting something new, because your attention is on a million OTHER things you've not done before! I'm impressed with your picture, and hope you'll continue with the camera. This is really good stuff!
