Description

Meshbox began updating Halfling Village Volume 1 to our R2 standard. It is hard to believe but we shipped the first models in the series in 2005! A part of the update is to add removable snow caps, so its possible to create really nice winter scenes. Getting snow right can be difficult, because it has to conform to the object and maintain a type of bulk (stacked flakes). This render takes the original model, which was modeled in MAX, and imports it into Vue 8, where I applied a basic snow material to the existing snow (the model comes with a snow texture, too) objects, plus the ground and some distant mountains. This plus the "Trafalgar" atmosphere finishes it.
