Description

Well it seems that this was not a good day to test out the new Spider, Johnny Law saw the blower on the car and decided it was time to end the joy ride. all kidding aside this was my first attempt at creating a car from pieces from other models and bryce objects, the body is all bryce and the wheels, engine and the seats are from model parts. the original idea was to create a car that was a little more realistic than this but I had a really hard time trying to figure out how to build the body and by the time I had the body about what you see here Bryce decided to start throwing hissy fits, even with locking the objects in place they kept moving every time I added another part to the car (never had that happen before). thanks for taking time to read this. I hope you enjoy the viewing and thanks for any comments. Remember folks to work happy... not hard!!!

Fantastic image!! Great job on the car, love it! Cool poses. Was everything you locked, grouped? If not, that may have been the problem. Corrie

The thing about parts moving or locked is from what I believe is not "saving" as often as one should throughout the creating process..Or when one makes changes more than saving...I have had this happen far more than I cared to at one point and decided after so many "hissy fits" that I would try an experiment and with each change without delay I click "save" and soon enough the locked or jumping parts began to stop...that and also sometimes when you "duplicate" any object check and make sure it didn't "double duplicate" by simply right clicking over the duplicated item in question and see if it didn't double duplicate as this will also cause the main grouped object to lock or jump.Sometimes when you duplicate the mouse will double the object without the eye catching it and then your troubles will begin..Usually every so often I will look at all objects in the scene by looking for say example...car tire that you modified and see if when viewing in wire mesh mode that their isn't a tire 1...2...or even 3 when their should only be one you modified and at that point you know you have one to many tires that should be there and is what I call a double duplicate and would cause a scene crash or even your model to break apart. This is all derived from issues I've had over time and usually when I hear that someone else has mentioned the jumping or breaking that that is usually is what is causing the issues.Try and see if and when next time you go and do changes to any certain object that you didn't double duplicate it by accident would be the advice I'd give in this situation!... Also when in wire mesh mode if the area or object in question appears darker than the surrounding objects it's a good bet you have a duplicate involved and upon removing the duplicate regroup the object after deleting the duplicate and all should improve...For some reason Bryce gets confused when it has to read an object twice over when it is only suppose to be a single item...Hope my explanation isn't too confusing and you understand the point i'm trying to make..Sorry for the long winded explanation....hope it helps some what!
