Description
Just a hobby, no formal training. Working on my realism (to a degree). Trying to get better at natural looking renders. Thought this one came out decent. I can spot a few things but depends on who's looking at it and what they're looking for I guess. Critique desired. My friends aren't into digital art so I come to you for feedback.

The texture work and modelling with the shack is very good. The landscape and background suit the subject but the trees are kind of detracting. I think if it were a different season where the trees had leaves, it might work.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah those bare trees were iffy, I thought it was too boring without them but yeah, they look a tad out of place. Glad you like the texture work. Mudbox has done wonders for me in that respect. I'm horrible with UV mapping etc so I automatic map in Maya then hand paint on the models in Mudbox. I'll have to get good at UV's one day if I plan to animate though I think.

Great work. I like the building, it would look good in a scene with rusted derelict vehicles and other old buildings or old farmhouse.
