Description

My try with the Lee Perry Smith head scan model & textures. Poser Pro 2012. BBs Environment Sphere with HDR & 1 infinite light. Adjusted BB materials. Very minor tweaks in Photoshop.

Very good, would like to see him with his eyes open, as the lachrymal area is often most difficult to get right. Very realistic render though, and amazingly lit.

Unfortunately the model is just the mesh as it is here with no morphs so no way to open the eyes. I think it was put out by te creator as a way to test the differences between various render engines. PP2012's advanced lighting and materials hold up quite well all things considered.

Yes, this was released to give people a way to test their render engines that removed issues of mesh, texture, displacement, etc. He worked at a place with a 3d scanner, so he could provide a pure scan of his own head. Which means closed eyes, but inarguable accuracy. Eyes would have pretty much required building for a specific render engine. This came out beautifully and I definitely like your customizations on the skin, having both seen BB's and used EZSkin, which uses his shader. It holds up well in comparison to the high end free renderers.

Hi Carodan I think there is a version with open eyes-but it might be Max format... it's been awhile since I read the original thread by Lee Perry Smith
