Nelson Mandela Square, Johannesburg RSA
After about 5 weeks we had to return our temporary home in Johannesburg and we changed our camper for the nice apartment, where our son was located for 8 months in Vanderbijlspark.
To see again our son was fantastic, to return the camper was not easy, realizing that it was a goodbye to wildlife and adventure!! But we will return to the area sooner or later, for sure!!! When leaving the area, you know that you feel homesick when you are back home in the Netherlands!!
Next day we spent around Joburg with our son, a few cocktails at the Nelson Mandela Square and a fantastic diner in the “Butcher shop & grill “, just opposite to the magnificent statute of Nelson Mandela.
We made in May 2011 a trip through the southern part of Africa ( RSA, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia) .

I love The Butcher Shop & Grill - like the idea of chosing your steak to be cooked! We go their frequently! The Mandela Square is about 10km from where I stay Henk. We could have had a glass of wine! Wonderful images of this majestic statue of our dear Madiba!
