James: How much are they asking for you? Oh dear. Interesting - tell me, how much have you got in your piggy bank now, Chomper? I see. And Mogbot hasn't got any money at all? Um. Well, tell them the Commander said she would give them five bob* to keep you. [Aside to radio operator: Got a fix on his position yet?] [Operator: Gynoid reports weak signal masked by cave in sector 314-159] James: What's that, Chomper - they say they'll melt you down if we don't pay up. Well, you do realise we have a whole store of unused new Chompers here. [Nearest rescue unit?] [On its way] [Strong signal coming in from Mogbot, James] Yes, well stop fretting, Chomper. I'll go and have a look in our money-box and see how much we've got in the holiday fund. Though I'm not sure it'll reach to what those Silurians want for you. --------------- Commander (listening in): Now we've got him - alert Rapid Strike Squadron - we'll take out those Silurian creatures and rid ourselves of Chomper at the same time! DroidThree: You can't do that, the Silurians aren't presenting any threat, and Chomper belongs to James. Commander: Of course I can. I'm the Commander here, and what I say goes. Rapid Strike Squadron - Alert! Immediate take-off - proceed to target sector 314-159 and eliminate all undesirables! DroidFour (aside to Gynoid): get over to James now - quickly! Gynoid: Not enough time - look, they're airborne already! --------------------- Operator: Cavern identified, James. Rescue squad disembarking and approaching target. James: No firing unless absolutely necessary. We're not starting a war here. Operator: Warplanes approaching! Rapid Strike Squadron! James: Turn them back - cancel their orders! (*Five bob = five shillings, 1/4 of the old pound, roughly equivalent to a dollar in the fifties; in this story now five-twelfths of the Sterling and still equal to five dozen pence.)

To be rescued or not rescued, chomper sure does like getting into fixes and the Commander really has it out for him, fantastic scene and characters, outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
