Description

A work in progress or a little work and no progress depending on how skewed your perception is of reality. Now that said, I have gotten to a point with this that there are several ways to go with this image. One I could just leave it and go on or I could find some way to add some fire to the scene to go with all the smoke. Do that so the city looks on fire which would be cool because I have some old 50's Sci-Fi models that may work. The models are of the Martian Destroyers in the original War of the Worlds, the Flying saucers from Earth vs the Flying Saucers and of course the space ship from Forbidden Planet plus a few others. But which one to use? I think I have some effects that may work as to B movie special effects for you know ray guns or what ever. At a stop right now so need some ideas or thoughts. Any would be cool and helpful. Hey even if is drop dead, or take a long walk of a short pier. It's all cool. So tell me what do you guys think about which direction this should go. Thanks I think.

The soup does get a little thick mid-screen. A fire fight on the surface would help that. As for what props...the Martians would appear more an invading army more so than the Saucer's. Enough of my 2 cents worth

I could give you several directions but being this is done in Vue I'd have no way of knowing if the advice I'd be giving would carry any practicality to it or even be do able....But I think just by adding some small glows beneath the clouds/smoke would then enhance the shadows giving it more depth and a richer environment....Just adding afterburners to the crafts would create a complimenting effect on it's own...Okay...run with that if you so desire but even the way you presented this particular WIP it stands on it's own without anything added too...Sorry but I'm an equal opportunity adviser..lol... I can just hear you say'n....Geeeeez.....Thanks Will for confusing the hell out of me.....ROFL!

No worries Will confusion is my normal state of mind. I changed the position of the two fighters so that they are diving down on a new Mars attack ship in the city. I moved the clouds I am using for smoke to allow for more of the city to be seen. But now I think I went to far so will add some more but thinner to the front of the city. I am also adding some more plasma fire and plasma explosions to the buildings in the distance. I will take all suggestions about the image and do my best to work with them. Thanks everyone. Paul J

Maybe some vortex effects of moisture condensation streaming from the wingtips?
