Description
Beautiful country, the mountain ranges along the border of Mexico and Arizona. The way these rock outcroppings spring from the hills always grabs my attention. Taken in the Fall of 1996, scanned from a Matte finish photo.

The rich cloud bank really adds dramatic interest to what I know is such a hot part of the country. I love how you captured a basalt plug up front and that lovely soft white sandstone that you find about so much in the region.

Those clouds are so low. It seems like when you are on top of those mountains, you can just reach the clouds. Great capture!
