Description

A child-prodigy with four master's degrees and various minors in his pocket by the time he was 20 years old, Arman Aslanov is the only son of Yuri Aslanov a Turko-Russian archaelogist and Khutulan Badzar, a Mongolian woman. Arman was a millionaire by the time he was 23 and a billionaire by the time he was 26. As far as he's concerned, he got the 'worst of both faces of both races', but still he has a certain charm. He plays several traditional instruments like the horse-head fiddle (morin khuur), the swan-headed lute (tovshuur), the box zither (yoochin - like a Persian santur), another type of zither (yatga), the shaman's frame drum, and the balailaika. His muscial talents were the doorway to him meeting Sugar Plum. Her 'uncle' (actually her guardian and mentor) Chen 'arranged' for them both to be part of those playing in a soundtrack for a friend of his who was making a film near Ulan Bator. Sugar Plum had no idea who or what he was - only a delightful 'peasant' and 'kossak' who made her laugh and played beautiful music. The rest is history. A video of a song played on a yatga, which is related to the gu-zheng - the instrument that Sugar Plum plays. Below that is a video of the gu-zheng being played - a very nice video. The gu-zheng as an instrument is somewhere between 2500 and 3000 years old. And ummm, I don't think I explained, but Sugar Plum (Litza) is half Chinese and Japanese-American. video_yatga video_guzheng Enjoy :) Ray Background by me in PShop.

And let me guess. He doesn't always drink beer, but when he does he drinks Dos Equis. LOL! He's way beyond a Rennaisance man. Beautiful pic. The background came out beautiful.

LOL. So which one is the vampire? Or do I really have to guess? He looks interesting and I really like the way the horse is done up. Great fur textures and the mane color and flow are gorgeous. Thanks for the musical leads... the second instrument is particularly compelling.
