I always admire how you tackle subjects like this, and illuminate them. I'd find this a difficult shot, not only because I've only been shooting for 2 and a half years, but even as a painter I'd find it difficult. The sweep of land is in such contrast to the coagulation of that metal, wood and so on. But in this shot, the locks are a series of accents in a sweep of gentle greens, a mirror-like river, and the plush carpeting of trees on the other side. And you've given a sliver of sky atop---just the right accent to top the shot off. Very thoughtful work, and very fine.
