Description

WOW! What an exciting time viewing the transit with the SBAS! It was a sold out crowd. KTBS did the weather live from the Worley. A reporter with KSLA interviewed and a reporter with the Times was there. "There she is!" was called out around 5:00pm as the planet started its travel across the sun. After that, the lines started forming at the telescopes and it wasn't long before I had to direct traffic. By 6:40, I had counted 75 vehicles in the lot. This was the norm until about 8:00. I estimate between 150 and 200 guests. This is a painting I did of the event.

Envious. I got up at 4.45am here in the UK to be met with a blue sky.... to the west..... and a wall of cloud to the east. I'll just have to live to be 135 to see it next time....
