Description
Lake Quanah Park is located in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, north of Lawton Oklahoma USA. My favorite lake to shoot in the Refuge. Shot early morning.

Lovely image in b&w, kinda goes with the legend... Ghost of an Indian maiden walking along the banks searching for her love. Sometimes childhood memories get confused, it might be another lake also called Quanah which was open only a few days a year as it was on a much-used firing range of Ft.Sill (we stayed in a one room cabin there next to the small dam one night for a family camping trip). History and legend abounds in the Wichitas and you can feel it in your bones wherever you go~ Love it!
