Description
Not happy with the skin on this it took nearly four hours to render (In Poser it would have taken no more than five minutes)
I can't seem to get skin to look right in Daz, my last Daz render was quick to render I think because it had a full suit on. It seems hair takes the time to render.
Both Bez and I are trying to get to grips with daz but we are having no luck. If anyone knows how to render skin in a short time could you please let one of us know?
Thank you in advance.

That's a lot of render time Roy, maybe Callad could be the one to ask, her working knowledge in DAZ studio is outstanding. Apart from the long render the result looks not bad at all.... :0)

Boy that was a long time Roy, I only usually get a render that long in Daz is if my lighting is set to raytraced, but I normally I just use deep shadow map.. renders a lot faster.. I find Poser takes longer rendering as it adds lights adds objects etc before rendering.. Never had a problem with hair, When texturing did you go into surfaces tab and change (in lighting model) Victoria's skin from plastic (default) to skin in the pull down menu. In fact every thing is set to default plastic, I have skin set on everything on Victoria except for eyesurface, tears, finger nails and toenails (if showing)which I have as glossy plastic.. (for reflection/shine and tears look more watery.. Hair I have set to matte in pull down menu also, clothing I use matte too.. otherwise in raytraced lighting it wants to make this all glossy.. To be honest the lighting is better in poser than daz that's why I am using poser more now but I still do use daz and like it.. She looks good though... Hope this might help.

Sabby and Seven have a character named Paige that has amazing skin! This has always been my startpoint since I started rendering in DAZ Studio. In any event, lovely!

I'm clueless of course, but I think her skin looks beautiful. She looks quite angry at having to wait so long to get rendered. I hope you can figure it out, as that does sound too long for this scene. She was however with the wait. Beautiful.
