UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Good for them!!!!!! Here, it would be the TOTAL opposite, they'd just plough it under, gone forever... And no-one (or very few) would give a s***.. I'm SO glad, very glad that so many do over there.. As I already know! Great shot Bill... Rob PS: Yes mate: I knew No1 were reforming on Typhoons up in Scotland.. Not exactly next door lol As I think I've mentioned before, there used to be at least6 or 7 Squadron nearby on three bases.. But now there are none on none.. No matter what people say to me, how they put it, explain it, the fact is we have hardly any airforce left, sometimes less than 20 available frontline fighters.. As of next year we will have an armed forces total of 87.500.. The officially recognised number as an 'Army' is 100,000! SORRY, very sorry.. I'm droning on.. Sorry Bill.. Rob

Nice shot, though it seems a little dark to me. Great to hear stories about the preservation of things that have value beyond mere money. Here in southern Oregon, there is a constant struggle between those who want to preserve our beautiful forests & those who care about nothing but profits from timber. Unfortunately, there are extremists on both sides, who make it difficult to come up with reasonable compromises...

WOW! What a huge project, but to me it was worth the troubles. Looks gorgeous. Well captured :)

A gorgeous shot, Bill! So wonderful the garden was saved, and didn't become yet another victim of 'progress.'
