Description

This started out as a test of a few things and turned into this. This may be the only time you will ever see an image with absolutely no postwork from me. ;) Two reasons for this: first, I was blown away by how beautiful and realistic the render turned out; second, I'm still having trouble getting Photoshop on my new computer. The room is extremely simple; it's a basic, featureless room with an extremely basic clay shader (meaning: an off-white clay node plugged into alt_diffuse and everything else turned off) and a window in front (using Bagginsbill's thin glass shader from the Car Patio set). Outside is an HDRI image on Bagginsbill's Environment Dome, but the light value is set to 25% to keep things quite dark. The only other lights are two very, very faint point lights in each of the dancer's hands (set to 2% intensity in the right hand, 10% in the left). The face and body morphs are both completely unmodified Anya from the Yaana character (well, I did remove the Morphform modifications, but otherwise untouched); the texture is also from Yaana and Yaana Expansion, except the eyes from SurrealEye. The shader is set up with EZSkin. The hair decoration is from the Native American V4 clothing set; the hair is Nabia Hair with Surreal Nabia textures. The FX are freebies by Aery Soul (or AlfaseeD or whatever their latest name is :P). The ring is from the Ayashe character by Phoenix1966 and the necklace is from the Flapper outfit by Renderosity Publishing; both use a gemstone material by Bagginsbill. I like how the backlighting makes the ring almost glow; there is no ambient node active on it--it's exactly the same as the beads. The primary purpose of the render was to test out Esha's new Paroa 2 dynamic dress. I love Esha's dynamic outfits, and this is no exception. It drapes so beautifully! Although designed to be a slinky summer dress, my first thought after buying it was that it would make a nice tribal dress--so I decided to try it out, and this is the result. I applied Bagginsbill's suede shader to the dress (I changed the color to be slightly more red and slightly less saturated to get a nice tawny buckskin color) and found that the drape settings Esha set up look as nice with the suede as they did with her silk (they could probably be a little stiffer and heavier, but they work). I'm exceedingly pleased with the results. My apologies for all the JPEG artifacts...I had to save the JPEG version in Paint because, again, I'm still working on getting Photoshop working with my new computer. You can see the clean PNG over at my deviantArt gallery. :)
