Description

Two dedications here! Firstly to my Dad who inspired the render as this is a "copy" of a photograph, of my Dad in Italy. Secondly to my good friend Tryphon who created the Battledress etc. and kindly let me try it out, without which this render couldn't have been created.

Most certainly looks the part, fantastic job on this, and especially the vintage effect! Dad would be proud!

A mug of tea and a Vickers machine gun, that should get you through the day.So many such images sent to loved ones to waylay fears and distract attention from the true horror of these conflicts. How happy 'Mum' must have been to receive this picture....hats off to Dad for a job well done ! An excellent 'reproduction' and great tribute to your Dad. What to add about Tryphon's gear that I haven't said in the past? just pure brilliance, much needed and sure to be a big hit.....BIG thumbs up to Luis, thanks mate.

Thanks for the dedi, Ed. Glad to see you testing the gear, once the add-ons for north Africa are completed you'll be able to do the Italian campaign to your heart's content by mixing the gear, depending on the season, you can actually use the regular BD. You'll want to use Panko's SMLE, it was standard SOPs (standard operational procedures), the No. 4 rifle was reserved for the NWE theater, where as the SMLE remained in use from North Africa to Italy. This was all about logistics, the mags could not be interchanged, if you had an SMLE & your mate had a No.4 rifle he couldn't use your spare mags. You didn't want that happening in the middle of a firefight.
