Description
Amethyst Sunbird sitting high up in the Worsboom. To far for my 300mm lens though. So not such a sharp capture. Better pictures can be seen here where you can read more of these birds.

The Amethyst Sunbird (Nectarinia amethystina) is a species of bird in the Nectariniidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitat is dry savanna.
