Description

The plains of the Western Approach seemed stark, barren, dead. The plains and fields had been the site of a great battle long ago, when the Darkspawn had swarmed out of the Abyssal Reach to taint the land beyond repair. Now, no one dared enter the blighted lands. Once, the Orlesians had put up giant iron towers every hundred feet, to mark the way into the cursed lands for travelers daring enough. Now Keran would use these ancient markers to journey deep into the wild. He had nowhere left to go but west, into the wilderness, away from the Chantry and their cursed thirst for mage blood. After the destruction and utter implosion of the Chantry in Kirkwall, all mages were game to the templars now, Circle or not. Anyone they even suspected was a mage was put through torture. They had hounded Keran's every step, tortured his family, killed his father, and now chased him to the very edge of civilization. He stood on the rocky precipice, staring down at the swirling purple sands moving like waves on the ocean across the desert floor. It stretched for miles, all the way to the horizon, its flatness occasionally broken by rocky, broken steppes jutting skyward. Dawn illuminated the Western Approach's every stark, dead detail. Steeling himself, Keran began to descend the steppes, determination driving him forth. If the Chantry pursued him still into this cursed land, they would come to regret it. Rather than be subject to their fanatical cruelty and bloodlust, he would either live free or die an apostate... Been playing lots of Dragon Age 1 and 2, and reading up on the world of Thedas.Ok guys, hope you all enjoy.
