Description

Bryce7Pro/DazStudio/Photoshop/Photoscape3.5 Something reminiscent of the Dune books this time around...a general oversees the attack on the capital of a desert world from a safe vantage point,a messenger bringing details of the onslaught.Figures are the Michael3 reduced resolution, with elements of the Slayer,Wildenlander and CIS Operative outfits and Uzilite weapons(all from Daz3D and imported from DazStudio).Ships are all my own Bryce models, textured in modified preset metal materials.Distant towers are also Bryce creations.Terrains are textured in a Seriously Real Material from Daz.Sky,light and atmo are custom...sky used as IBL with sun enabled. Postwork in Photoshop involved a levels and saturation boost, engine flares, dust, smoke, signature and resizing...in Photoscape I added a deep bloom effect and noise. Thanks for taking the time to view, and for any comments!

I'm digging the coloring and the ship modeling; also the flowing cape. I also like the composition with the main figured dark against the light, and the slope of the dune leading towards the figure. My one observation is that 2/3 of the render is taken up by the dune, which is not a point of interest, and we have the ships "pressing down" and from the side, leaving only a small tight band for the figures, who are the point of interest. It feels like there's a squeeze up from the bottom, pushing the focus up the page but then we're clipped off from the top, even though there's more to see. Anyway, those are my two bits.
