Description
I'm asking all my friends to send good thoughts to my 20 yr. old granddaughter (this is one of her graduation pics). Right now she is in Georgetown University Hospital in D.C. giving the greatest, most selfless gift you can give to a stranger. She's donating her bone marrow to someone she's never met, a little boy only a few months old with cancer. As I type this my granddaugher has just been wheeled into surgery. May the Angels surround her and that small little boy who begins his chemo today.

Selfless acts at one time were commonplace. Now, they're rare. Though we pray for them both to fully recover, my heart soars with your grand-daughters heart. Linda it restores ones faith in humanity that we are not all a bunch of selfish people.. She is doing such a selfless act for this young boy and his family, I too heard it is a painful thing to go through.. All my love and prayers go out to all those involved in this from your granddaughter, the young boy and the extended families, to doctors and nurses who work with them.. My love to them all. I too had a great niece that also needed a bone ,arrow transplant and got a doner from overseas. This was when she was a wee tot she will be 8 in a few days and going strong.

What a wonderful, selfless act on her part. I'm sure the little boy's parents are very grateful, and our Lord is pleased greatly. This gift from her is the very essence of our Lord Jesus' command to love God and your neighbor as yourself. You've raised a fine daughter and you are to be commended also. God bless.
