The blues and grainy texture add to the mood of this great pic very nicely. The lights in the night look like stars, and that big building almost seems suspended, like it is floating in urban space, which is very cool. And I especially like those glowing lights that look very much like mystic orbs. All quite mysterious. CC

Stunning night shot--it does have that mysterious air, like maybe Godzilla is lurking behind one of those buildings!!

What a beautiful evening shot in mono, Mark. You have such a lovely neighborhood. Especially when we see it through your camera-eyes. :)

I like the pools of light and dark on the street, and the way the car's tail lights cut into the edge of the near dark pool. It's amazing, how points of light can convey so much. The windows, hovering in space, show buildings where the eye sees nothing but black.

This is how I was seeing before cataract surgery...lol. Smart remarks aside, I really like this Mark. There is a cold steel feel to this. It has an atmosphere of intrique. I love the way you can take any photo and turn it on its head and make it dance to your tune. You've done it again:)

No kidding that zoom is a must, this one is fabulous Mark. The dark setting and the lighting here really do add a sense of mystery. You never cease to amaze me in how you always find new ways to showcase Chicago. Maybe it is the way you approach photographing your city, because you seem to almost see it through the eyes of a tourist. The excitement in both your photos and descriptions bring alive each scene in a way that few could. I know you've seen many of these sites countless times, but each time you present it in a manner where one would be convinced you are seeing it for the first time yourself.

Incredible lights in the darkness, Mark. And yes !! the mistery is around, but is fabulous, how you gives room, so we can to imagine the real too. It could make part of a movie! Wonderful is, it seems to me, that you also was caught by this mistery of the night! Excelent photo.

The Music of the Night. Other than the bright Chicago lights themselves, splendid POV, perspective, texture (the light halos and street surface), and all around stark contrast, in this astonishing night shot, Mark! Batman's Gotham City again.

Beautifully done, Mark; again, that graphic feeling that makes it feel almost like a drawing pulls me in and makes me want to linger. You do these so well!

Very cool. Very cool indeed. The strict use of black and starshine blue, and the overbaked grittiness combine to make a wicked bit of urban imagery.
