My first attempt at a ship image and wakes.
Not great but hopefully they'll get better.
Thanks to Bill (Steelrazer) for the advice.
Thanks for taking a look :)

Very good job on the sea state and wake!! The numbers on the ship's hull could use a re-think perhaps......
Maxidyne
Thanks guys. @ TheBryster... yeah the do look a bit lego don't they :)
KnightWolverine
One must need a spark before the flame appears...This has potential of being really great as more time is spent experimenting...I see this prospering in the very near future!.....(smiles)...
T.Rex
Looks good. I wonder, is the ship 3D or a photo? If a photo, how did you get it into the image? Looks cool. Thanks for all the comments on my posts! Keep up the good work! :-)
Maxidyne
Thanks Guys. @ KnightWolverine... I'm hoping to get better with each image :) @ T.Rex... It's a 3d model and the wake is hours of eye aching postwork :)

Well done! I like it at the zoom. At first I thought the rotor blades were an island on the horizon...but suddenly it hit me...NO, rotor blades:) Big kudos for all the work you did to create the wake...looks super.
Maxidyne
Thanks Bill. Yes now you mention it they do look like a distant island :) Typhoon class coming up next hopefully.

This is awesome! Nothing at all wrong with this.. Further more.. A LYNX! Excellent stuff, just work up to a full Falklands image to pi** certain folks off, and I'll be happy! lol You can only get better (though I can't see by how much,), I look forward to your next epic! Great job.. Rob
Maxidyne
Thanks guys. Although I should say Akula class, should't I Neil :) Look for that coming up Rob :)

Handsome looking frigate there, Mike...as well as the Lynx(?). Very nice job on the wake, it really suits the ship and the water texture you decided on. I definitely like the cool misty light makes a very interesting image. Very nice work!

Looks good to me, the surfaces seem to have the right characteristics... and the slightly blurred focus is really convincing. you are doing well here...
