I am 3D hobbyist / enthusiast with an interest in creating pictures of beautiful landscapes & dramatic scenery. I am particularly fond of scenes that have a science fiction theme to them. As I learn more about 3D, my works also get populated by people and most recently I started adding elements that I modeled myself.
Just like many others who don't do 3D for a living, I struggle to find enough time for my passion while also juggling being a husband and father of 3 little ones, not to mention a demanding (and completely 3D-unrelated) job.
I first got started with 3D in 2008 when I saw some landscape images produced by Terragen. After playing around with that program a bit, I soon moved on to Vue (Vue 6 at the time). Thanks to a freebie disk, I also got introduced to a little known general purpose 3D modeling & rendering program called Shade 3D. Most recently I also started to really dig into all the features in Poser Pro. While I played around with more 3D programs than I care to admit, those 3 (Vue, Shade & Poser Pr0) remain my 3D weapons of choice.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. PREECHER: This scene was done about 2 years ago in Vue 8, I am just now going through all my renders and posting the worthy ones online. I agree, atmospheres can be hit or miss, for every Vue scene with a good atmosphere, there are usually several that I eventually give up on because of that.
