Mary, I'm constantly awed by your images. Often the subject matter in itself is wonderful, but at least as often you take an otherwise ordinary scene and find the magic that lies therein. I've learned that there is a special gift that enables one to see the masterpieces in the mundane, and that gift sets apart an artist and 'true' photographer from bozos like me who simply click the shutter button non-stop to get a keeper-to-loser ratio of roughly 1:1,000,000. I'm glad you post your images here because not only can I enjoy the beauty of the images but maybe I can even absorb some of the artistic vision.

your composition is classical, you lead us back to the sky punctuated by that beautiful tree in the background, the light here is bright but nostalgic, you have a dark reddish purple "undertone" throughout, and the whole photograph feels like a memory of a place very dear. Thank you for your thank you, Mary, but your work does all the work: It's worthy of all the praise in the world. If I didn't write such long comments, I could leave many more. But I'll keep coming back here because you have one of the finest eyes on this site. Another subtle beauty from your gallery.
