This Friday we celebrate midsummerâ��s eve here in Sweden. This image is inspired by the first verse of a midsummer song. Swedish: Du lindar av olvon en midsommarkrans och hÃ¤nger den om ditt hÃ¥r. Du skrattar Ã¥t mÃ¥ngubbens blenvita glans som hÃ¶gt Ã¶ver tallen stÃ¥r. I natt ska du dansa vid svartrama tjÃ¤rn i lÃ¥ngdans i språngdans glÃ¶dande jÃ¤rn. I natt Ã¤r du bjuden av dimman till dans dÃ¤r ull-Stina kull-lina gÃ¥r. Translation: You bind a midsummer wreath of olvon (a flower) and hang it around your hair. You laugh at the bone white shine of the man in the moon high above the pine. Tonight you are going to dance at/by svartrama tarn, a long dance a running/go dance on hot iron. Tonight you are asked by the mist to dance where Ull-Stina Kull-Lina walk. In scandianvian folklore faeries appear as mist I used google translation so it is probably not completely accurate.
