Description

The fruits garden of Ars Laquenexy is located in France near Metz. It is a charming place you can visit with pleasure. Having a stroll under the shadow of the trees when the weather is hot and sunny is a real pleasure. You can even lay down on a blanket and have a rest :-) Nevertheless, this garden is worldwide known for the culture of marked apples. This is a very old technique that uses the influence of light on the apple. Of course, the apple is still edible but it is mostly used as a gift or an artwork because of his expensive price (thousands euros !) Some of these apples were a gift from my country to an international meeting about environment in 2010. One of the recipient was Mr Harrison Ford himself (he is very active about environment). I've read that only three places in the world produce such apples : Ars Laquenexy, Versailles and Japan. Moi qui étais prêt à mordre les dirigeants du site...je vais me contenter de croquer une belle pomme ! Pas aussi belle que celles de ce jardin (je suis allé voir le site) mais je n'ai rien d'autre sous la...dent ! Un gros merci avec un gros bisou pour cette belle dédicace. C'est de toute beauté même si ça manque un peu de montagnes ! mais il faut de tout pour faire un monde et le nôtre est beau, surtout avec des amis comme toi.

Moi qui croyais qu'à part le roi Stanislas, les jours de congé en plus que vous avez par rapport à nous et l'annexe de Beaubourg, il n'y avait pas vraiment grand chose en Lorraine, je suis très surpris! Je n'avais jamais entendu parler de ce jardin ni de l'art de sculpter les pommes. Grâce à cette photo superbement réussie et tes explications, je vais pouvoir finir ma journée un peu moins stupide que je ne l'avais commencé ;-)...You've done a neat job, Virginie!
