Great shot Richard. I never really understood the love of faux wood on cars, but it certainly was a hit with some folks.

Great photo Richard, my Dad always loved this one.

Yes that is one classic car that is often imitated but never replicated. Great capture Hey do you have any shots of any old VW Vans. Those here have a small cult following. There is a gathering of the Vans and their owners once a year at Miami Beach.

Almost certain it is a 50 Richard...My Uncle had one back in the day but it was fresh out of a barn and the paint was gone but it had all the pieces intact. They lived down the road from the local drag strip and this was the life of the party so to speak every weekend...I think that the fact they replaced the old "L-Head" with a Ford Long Block, 427cid, 535 hp had nothing to do with why everyone seemed to crowd around it... ....lol....Ah the days of engines roaring and rubber burning brings back a tear to my eye...(smiles)...

Wallace is right. But than again this is well before the gasoline conundrum hit us in the face, lol. Today these car makers fools want us to believe that making engines with 300hp is a great thing, lol Well, back than 500 ponies was the norm. Idiots, lol. Anyways this one is beautiful Richard. Awesome paint scheme and the the trim seems flawless and period perfect. Mercury folks were always innovators and the body lines on this grocery getter was one of the most modern for that period. A true contemporary design for the time.
