The sons of Cain were an elite paramilitary commando unit formed under the command of general kirk. The were genetically altered humans which were experimented on under the classified military funded Genesis project to develop genetically superior soldiers. They specialized in classified Special ops missions ranging from hunting down terrorist cells and assassinations of political figures & heads of state.There methods were very brutal and violent, unit was disbanded and members were to be put on trial for war crimes in accordance with the Geneva convention. On there final mission they were allegedly ambushed by a terrorist cell they were hunting. all members were officially classified as MIA and were presumed to be all killed in action. This was not the truth the attack was a setup by general kirk fearing the the team would implicate him in the upcoming trial. The attack was unsuccessful as the team survived,knowing that they were setup they decided to make it look like they were all killed and all members went into hiding underground. When the fall of the US government happened later due to the rise of a new genetically engineered race developed from the same genesis project,which caused a world wide viral outbreak and threatened the extinction of the human race. they now have resurfaced and fight as individual mercenaries who have joined with the remaining human survivors to hunt the genetically altered species in the hopes of the survival of the human race.
