I am thinking this is the correct year. I lived in a poor area and people did not drive "luxury cars" like Buick

Love this one Richard. In 54 there was the Buick and the Buick Skylark. This one is the Skylark. A slightly upper class buick.

It's a Skylark by the wire wheels and the cloth top that makes the identification uncertain. The 1953 Skylark was better known. One has to look hard at the 1955 in retrospect to convince one that it was futuristic and not diurnal.

this car is gorgeous... bought one of these in 1972 for... ready? 200.00 it had been stored in a barn for a long time and the guy needed money badly... I felt bad for taking advantage and returned the car a few days later without asking for my money back. Christ, I hate consciences and guilt.

Not sure of the year either Richard, but this is one fantastic looking car.

Yes I believe so Richard...In 55 they went with the inverted bullet on the bumper and replaced the Buick nose emblem with an oval/more defined/more chrome design which actually I do believe was an added extra or part of a package..If my dad was still alive he'd know...But I believe I'm within the ball park on my assumption...(smiles)..

A beauty,haven't seen one of these since the time my Father had one, bought it in '55,a leftover on the lot. Sold it to my brother-in-law in '68 for $10. Great capture!!!!!
