That is NOT me in the picture!
Thanks for visiting my gallery! If you were redirected here from Culture Crunch, you will find the "alternate versions" of Didi and Kelly here, as well as a few prototypes, if you look hard enough.
Once upon a time, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool to make pictures of people on the computer?" Of course, at the time, I was thinking more along the lines of Max Headroom, but when Poser came out, I knew I had to have it. Yes, folks, I am one of the lucky few who has been using Poser since version 1!
Most people would agree that Poser 4 was the turning point, where it went from being a reference tool to a way to make real pictures (I won't say "real art") in its own right. Then came along someone named Victoria... And the rest is history!
Recently I've been getting into DAZ Studio quite a bit. I'm also trying to wrap my mind around LuxRender.

Hmmm.... a fast foreward to 2012 from 1980s. And Corel was a 1980s product, if I recall correctly. I use Photoshop for drawing. I can use the line tool or the pencil tool set at whatever width I want. The line tool can be used to make curves, too. Just break up the line into short segments. The layers function will also permit adjusting the lines/curves after they are made. Low jeans - the "show your intestines" jeans. If they go any lower, it's show your ... jeans. (Yes, I've seen a few anuses on people squatting and wearing low jeans - not fun at all!). This image is well done, but, as you said - too much work. I didn't like Corel when I tried it. I found Photoshop so much easier (version 5 or 6 - I don't like the CS variety). Keep up the good work! And, I love Crystal's big city mentality - so different from the small town one of Kelly and Didi. :-)

I am still a happy user of Corel Photo Paint, too. Although there are a lots of special ffx missing the basics work pretty fine and easy, everything you need for a sincere level of drawing craftmanship is at hand. I also agree with your Corel Draw problems. In my guess this program is a bit outdated by new, cunning software and a tremendous increase of hardware power ... unless you're obliged to do a huuuuge poster with an accurate drawing that needs to be steplessly scalable. And yes, usually low-rise jeans are more attractive, but not always the best for the kidneys. (However I cannot remember that any of my render girls did ever complain about kidney problems)
