JL. I recently moved from SoCal to Idaho, way out in the country, and the wildlife you are photographing is plentiful there. And this photo reminds me of coming oh-so close to driving off a cliff yesterday trying to avoid hitting one of these. I think he was suicidal.

Thanks Shorterbus and Dave! :) Shorterbus: there are plenty of chipmunks everywhere here too, but more so in this park. :) And no chipmunk / cat / squirrel / dog / whale is worth killing yourself (or / and someone else) trying to evade hitting it (after you try and slow down, move as much as possible without risk, whatever safe enough). If the animal has not moved out of the way, well... too bad. Better to be sad than dead, huh.
