Description

I do not recall ever seeing one of these.I knew Ford had the full size version in 1958-59.

Our "second car" that Dad drove (Mom had the best and newest car always) around 1971 was a small gray 2 door 1964 Ford Falcon sedan, "3 on the column". When I turned 15 1/2 and had my learner's permit he gave me a lesson on driving it with particular attention to using the clutch and changing gears then he gave me a set of keys so I could drive it up and down the long driveway when I wanted. This extended to taking it down the road to the intersection and back (it was a good downhill/uphill trip) in our quiet neighborhood. Nice car, nice size, easy to drive very dependable but not too cool for a teenager of that time, Mom talked him into trading it for a new car for me (which I made the payments on working from 15 1/2 years old - gladly)- a 4 door 1972 Mercury Comet LS with a 302 V8 engine... zoom! ;D Great pic Richard of a well-restored classic! You've brought back memories to many~ =)
