Description

been a while since I used TG2 - was browsing planetside and saw that Efflux had been working on a steps terrain routine which works really well for creating a rough rocky terrain. So I added a texture (with too many displacement problems) and a couple of small objects from Daz and called it a day. If I have energy, the Efflux tgc needs to be studied and understood better. I really liked the rough ground that it makes.

I find this terrain somewhat undefined, somewhat messy... Also dark and details obscured...

Coppens - good points. I had the light set very bright and probably made it worse in post-processing - tried for a harsh look. And the textures I applied - well the colors I liked, but I think they pretty much ended up smearing the terrain more than lifting out additional detail. I very much like the rough canyons and nooks and crannies that Efflux's tgd provides though. But in the end, post-processing failure.

I disagree with coppens...it looks real, though it is dark and full of shadows. I almost missed the Martian or robot...thats cool. Perhaps its the downward camera angle and very little horizon to view...I think that balance throws some people off....I like it!!!
