Happy Birthday Roxy, wish you many more filled with happiness. Scanned from a 4X6 Matte finish photograph. Need to check out "Topaz Denoise", maybe it could help with that Matte finish. :~) Kiva; Room used for spiritual ceremonies. A Kiva that has not been altered or restored, and still has it's original timbers and roof intact, is a rare find. These Kivas even have the slip(paint) still intact on the interior walls. One Kiva generally served multiple families in an immediate area. This location has seven Kivas making it a sacred and revered site. It must have served as a spiritual center not just for the vicinity, but for a larger region. Will post again from here, maybe even start another series. As one summer about 18 years ago I quit my job and spent every day hiking the many canyons of the four corner region. Have a lot of ruin images, many from areas still unprotected. Wow, thank you for this very special work. You probably know that I have a special love of the 4 corners area. It is the home of one of my spiritual ancestors and I have had a few mystical experiences while working in the area. I look forward to seeing more of this very special place - I think it is one of the most sacred places in the Americas.
