Description

or sharks and fish :) inspired by a shot I have seen on the net I had to give it a try and with critique from my friends finally got it to work - my first in depth experiment with the spline function in Vue :) And yes there are some fish slightly above the water :) this is what they do, jump out of the water to irritate the predator on the chase :) Thanks for taking a peek and may you have a fine weekend! Credits: Shark comes with Vue is modified in color by me, fish is a freebie from 3d modelfree.com (http://www.3dmodelfree.com/models/18538-10.htm#1) Material of the ground is based on Quadspinners Golden sondstone from his River, Rock and Sand Collection 1, modified by me, watermaterial is based on the blue lagoon from Monsoons Seavue collection also modified by me.

Having flown helicopters in shark infested waters a lot, this reminds me of the old times. One good Maco or Tiger Shark can dwarf the regular gray sharks. When the sharks get in a feeding frenzie, they turn the water white like an area that is boiling. Tuna fish do the same. One day we saw a white spot while flying so the skipper and I went to check it out. We were not sure what it was. Tuna boils the water but usually we can see under the surface with polarized glasses. This time we couldn't so we got down pretty low, about 50 feet or so, and then realized it was a bunch of sharks. All I could think of was "this is a bad time for an engine failure" so we got out of there as fast as we could.

Such a good render, showing natural behaviour. It's not often one actually learns something from a render.

Yeah. If you had a shark nipping at your feet, you'd be shooting out of the water too! Heh! Splendid work, dear friend! Guess I'm going to have to check out the spline function myself.
