Follow up post to the one a few moments ago, best if you click the link below and start there. My son was quite fearful of that thundering surf upon moving here last June. Preferring the safe harbor of these temporary lagoons left by the tide. You can't see the wave slope down to the surf from here. That's just how high the ridge of sand has been deposited along the beach from the cresting waves. Of course he did get over that fear and even catches smelt by hand in the rolling wake of the wave slopes.
