Born and raised in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, I've been artistic, drawing and painting from an early age.
I became serious about photography in the mid 80's, and have won awards internationally. I am an incurable romantic and also love fantasy and sci-fi, as you can see from my photos.
On April 14, 2014, I married my childhood sweetheart. We were both widowed after long happy marriages.

This is a gorgeous and lively image! I've just re-re-read Ursula K. LeGuin's collection of short stories entitled Orsinian Tales...the first of which is a short piece simply called "The Fountains." I didn't even know that Ursula K. LeGuin had invented a country called Orsinia until long after I'd written the fourth or fifth of my own tales taking place in...Agara. It would seem that quite a number of science fiction and fantasy authors are sometimes inspired to explore "strange new worlds" in the guise of imaginary, modern-world countries...like Orsinia, like Agara, and any number of other fictional countries. And all of that is to say that this image makes me think of "The Fountains" though displaced, somewhat...these aren't fountains viewed by an Orsinian visiting France...this is...maybe...one of the fountains from another place...Omelas (another LeGuin place.) It has that kind of a mood: familiar-and-yet-otherworldly. Dream-like. The image itself is what attracts me, and the dreamy quality is what draws me in. This is fantastic.

This is gorgeous. It has an almost mystical quality to it, an otherworldy feel, like reaching into a dream
