Description

Just a quick piece in celebration of the birthday of my country - and a wish for all my friends out there in Rendo-land for a safe and happy rest of the week. Without getting into politics too much.... I know this country has many flaws. Many of our so-called 'representatives' in government have forgotten the fact that they represent US, the Amercan people. Our streets are filled with criminals and drugs, and our finacial structure is filled with greed. But there is beauty and goodness too - it's everywhere if you look past the media hyperbole and sensationalism (all in the quest for ratings and advertising revenue, of course). I can still voice my opinion without worrying if I'm going to be dragged out of bed some night, and never seen again. There is still honor and bravery in our military, and in our public service sectors. And in the hearts of most of our citizens. I am still proud to be an American. -------------------------------------- I'm working slowly on the next page in the TNA story - it should be posted soon. I'll also have a birthday dedication for all you great folks born in July. Things here have been pretty stressful with the combination of this ghastly night shift, and the situation with my dad's rapidly declining mental state. But I'll make it through... Only another week and a half on this shift! Thanks as always for your comments and support! And as Jim says, for your wonderful and inspiring art! G4's Tank Top by Little Dragon, US Flag mat by me. Flag prop in Rendo Freebies Fireworks photos by me.

yes i agree great country great people. but if the assholes in power (worldwide)keep on going in this pace there will be not many celebrations left at least not for the plebz like we are. the rich will sit in their shelters, frenchkissing each others assholes while outside the world goes down shitlane. sooory i think you have to give a lingo tag here.

Oh if these girls were in Colorado - G4 would be BUSTED! A Thousand dollar fine... and the other girl doesn't have that much of a bust so they'd let her off if she would get off - lol ....I'm afraid this year changed how this state will celebrate the 4th from now on.... I didn't hear any fireworks or see any going off - with this being the worst fire season in state history, and global warming upon us, I just don't see the family and friends enjoying the fireworks - I truely feel a change.

Hoi Rod, beautiful work you made for the anniversary of the States. Unfortunately I had to agree your commentary. I believe everywhere in the world ( of course also here in Holland) there are the same sort of abuses. Try to be happy I always can worse... All the best Rod. Hopefully you had a nice day. Thanks for your beautiful artwork. Frans

Hi Rod! This is gorgeous, and the girls look so sexy here and celebratory. :) The lighting came out marvelously, and makes the fireworks look more real. I agree, most of the politics stinks, but at least we have liberty for speech unlike some other places in the world. I don't see any foreseeable real 'change' in the future for the better and I'm not excited for either of the presidential candidates. I only hope enough of the old guard gets pushed out of office so that the politicians see how fed up we 'little people' are with the situation at hand and the in fighting and little progress. At least I hope.

"I am still proud to be an American". That in itself speaks volumes to me.... I agree we have our flaws as so many other do but would like to add that "We The People" do "not"... and are "not"... what our own Government is portraying "us" to be... I have my "own" voice but unfortunately "our" voice is never heard over the loud ass politicians that think that their beliefs are ours and are sadly mistaken... I Still believe with all my heart that most folks believe that our current Government is purposely trying to tarnish our name and have their own agenda of which does "not" or is "not" what we as a nation are as a whole. We still have a lot more good things that out weigh the bad and most Americans know this to be true...I was young and naive when my folks had their own issues back in the day and never did I believe in a million years that as an adult it would come to where we are as a nation now...But not by the fault of us "We The People"...I've watched over the years what the trending situations have lead to and make my own assumptions and are usually in agreement with most of what I read others say....When "we" as a nation lose our voice and allow others to speak for "us" is when "we" die as a nation IMO....Because of the "few" outweighing the needs of the "many" and not speaking for all but only a selected few then we are in for trouble and see no chance in hell that my children's and their children will have much of a future after I'm gone and that scares the hell out of me.I still believe we are a great country and when "we" can become as one and not just the selected few then "we" stand a chance of getting back what made this country so great to begin with...Though I'm sad that both my parents have passed away and miss them every single day I'm glad they passed when they did as not to have had to see what's currently happening now as they too went through hell and back once or twice in their lives before I was even a glimmer in my dads eye.... I'm truly with you Rod on the belief that we as a nation still have beauty and goodness if the media would just go away and stop reporting the bad and focus on the good.Especially in the media age we are in now..It's sad to say that the media would rather focus on and draw attention to the bad and you hardly ever here all the good that isn't reported...That's probably why I don't watch much TV anymore because the good ole' days are a dying breed and will without any intervention will fall to the wayside with the likes of the Reel to reel/8 track tape/land lines/phone booths and the list goes on and on... I for one still believe as you said.... I am still proud to be an American!. (smiles)..

Great pic Rod!! But I have to say, those sparklers are cruel!! I remember as a kid lighting them and then getting second degree burns from the sparks, LOL!!!! What a great way to torture kids. I hope the girls don't receive any bad injuries or have their clothes, what there is of them, catch on fire and that they had a safe 4th! Yes, you are right...this country (and every other)is FAR, FAR from perfect...but yes, as you say, at this point we can say what we want and not fear being dragged from our homes and tortured and killed...AND artists can post what they want on Rendo!!!!

Yes, happy birthday but ... how many more? A sad decay is in process for the reason mentioned. The politicians rule and are able to dupe the masses and buy votes. It was nice while it lasted. Unless the general public come to their senses and say "ENOUGH!" and take back their country the end is at hand. Anyway .... Great picture Rod! I LOVE the way you highlighted G4's boobs in fireworks, lol! Nice TNA babes image.

Well Rod! Top work! Great Render for the 4th!!!!!! I could start having a go at your Government about how its not quite 'for' the people any more.. Etc.. It certainly isn't interested in helping Rosy....and me! Blah blah! If you haven't got huge wads of cash, your stuffed! And I'm afraid that goes for both our Countries.... But hope you had a good day over there.. Shame I couldn't be there... I was 'stopped'.... Rob
